Communications Coordinator



Support and coordinate various functions of the church with a primary focus on Communications, Database Management, Team Coordination, and Administration


REPORTS TO:  Director of Church Operations (DCO)


HOURS:  Full-time, 30-40 hours per week




  • Meet regularly with DCO to coordinate activities and priorities within the various functions and teams within the church; attend other meetings as needed
  • Oversee media communications and develop video strategy in alignment with the Free Life mission and brand
  • Leverage various technology platforms to maintain information flow between internal/external stakeholders, to identify potential issues that require attention, and to develop solutions in consultation with DCO
  • Manage Planning Center database to coordinate events and ministry needs for the church calendar and resource requests
  • Drive engagement by Ministry Leaders and volunteers with Planning Center to promote operational efficiency within the church
  • Develop and implement streamlined communication process to coordinate leadership and staff meetings, events, and conferences, and to schedule necessary rooms, materials, and supplies
  • Resource volunteers with support, direction, and supplies as needed
  • Develop, implement, and maintain communication plan for processing and distributing visitor and prayer card information for follow-up
  • Communicate with Finance Services Team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of expense, event and budgeting data
  • Prepare procedural documents outlining technical/communication workflows implemented within the church


  • Purchase coordinator of supplies for office, Sunday services, maintenance, and special events based on designated budget
  • Develop, implement and monitor inventory, supplies and setup for church facility events, including Sunday mornings
  • Communicate and coordinate with facility service providers including cleaners, repairs, equipment, etc.; maintain updated inventory and vendor lists
  • Serve as primary point of contact for Shreve Mill tenants



  • Demonstrates strong oral, written, and listening skills to drive engagement within the church
  • Ability to anticipate needs and take appropriate action to address them
  • Proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite, and Planning Center (preferred)
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills
